Findings
Each with its time, channel, measured value and confidence.
Measure loudness, dynamics, spectrum and stereo behavior, and check files against delivery requirements with documented evidence.
Revelis measures music libraries, production archives, masters and distribution catalogs. Its workstation brings loudness, peaks, dynamics, spectral content, stereo behavior and technical findings into one review, with the evidence behind each result.
It keeps the gathering of evidence apart from the delivery decision. Analysis collects measurements across a library; Delivery Check holds a master against a published loudness specification; Compare Audio sets two masters side by side through the same measurement pipeline.

Evidence Before a Verdict
Every result starts with measured properties of the decoded signal. Review the waveform, spectrum, spectrogram, loudness and integrity findings alongside the analysis coverage. A restricted bandwidth is an observation to investigate; it is not a judgment of how a recording sounds or proof of its source.
- Coverage
- See what was analyzed and review incomplete or unavailable measurements before relying on a result.
- Findings
- Technical observations stay tied to their measurements, their time and their channel.
- Context
- Use the recording's purpose and delivery requirements to decide what needs attention.
Loudness and Dynamics
Read integrated loudness, loudness range, dynamics and true-peak headroom together. Loudness follows ITU-R BS.1770 and EBU R 128 and is checked against the EBU loudness test set.
- Loudness
- Integrated, short-term and momentary loudness, with loudness range.
- Headroom
- Sample peaks and inter-sample true peak, for checking your delivery ceiling.
- Dynamics
- Dynamic-range measurements, reviewed in the context of the program.
- Realtime
- Live metering, spectrum, stereo and M/S of an audio input, with multichannel layouts.
Signal Integrity
Inspect spectral extent, bit patterns, clipping, silence and channel relationships. Revelis makes technical concerns visible so you can decide which files need a closer review.
- Spectral extent
- Measured bandwidth and unexpected cutoff behavior. A spectrum cannot prove a file's original codec or lossless ancestry.
- Bit depth
- Effective bit-pattern observations beside the declared format, describing the signal that was decoded.
- Clipping
- Samples at full scale, inter-sample true peak and the time windows that contain clipping.
- Silence
- Leading, trailing and mid-track silence, with durations and segment counts.
- Stereo and multichannel
- Correlation, mono content and phase inversion; loudness and peak for each channel of surround material.
- Checksums
- MD5 and SHA-256 for every analyzed file, computed alongside the analysis.
Delivery Check
Choose a profile, choose a file, run the check. The result is a verdict with the failing checks named, the headline measurements, a chart placing the master inside the accepted range, and a table of each check against its requirement.
The free edition checks against the three published standards below. Premium adds service and broadcaster targets (Free TV OP-59, Spotify, Netflix, Apple Podcasts), your own house and client targets, folder checks with one verdict for the set, and a PDF delivery certificate.
| Profile | Scope | Program loudness | True-peak ceiling |
|---|---|---|---|
| EBU R 128 | European broadcast | −23 LUFS (−23.5 to −22.5) | −1.0 dBTP |
| ATSC A/85 | US television | −24 LKFS, ±2 dB | −2.0 dBTP |
| AES TD1008 | Internet audio | −20 to −16 LUFS | −1.0 dBTP |
Compare Audio
Two files through one pipeline: the version you are evaluating and the reference you want to match. Every measurement is listed for both, with the signed difference and a flag that turns amber, then red, as the gap exceeds the tolerance for that measurement.
- Format
- Codec, sample rate, bit depth, channels, channel layout, duration and bit rate.
- Loudness
- Integrated, maximum short-term, maximum momentary and loudness range.
- Dynamics
- Dynamic range and true peak.
- Integrity
- Spectral cutoff, stereo correlation, DC offset, clipping and clip count.
- Codec preview
- In Premium, AAC, MP3 and Opus encoded and measured, so you see what an encoder does to the master.
Libraries, Reports and the Studio
Revelis is made for whole collections. Scans run in parallel, findings and coverage stay visible, and any report can be copied as text. Premium writes report files and brings Revelis into automated and studio work.
- Batch scanning
- Configurable samples per folder, parallel workers and a per-file timeout.
- History
- Sessions and earlier analysis results with their recorded dates.
- Report files
- In Premium, HTML, CSV, JSON and text from Analysis, Compare and Delivery Check.
- Watch folders
- In Premium, every audio file arriving in a folder checked against a target and certified while Revelis runs.
- Archive integrity
- In Premium, a SHA-256 manifest of a folder's audio, verified again later.
- Studio
- In Premium, a VST 3 companion in your DAW, ADM program rendering and a command line with your own delivery policies and exit codes.
Who uses Revelis, and for what
- Catalog ingest
- Review incoming libraries for unexpected technical properties and document the findings.
- Master delivery
- Verify program loudness, true-peak ceiling and clipping against a published specification before release.
- A/B verification
- Confirm that a new master matches a reference on loudness, dynamics and spectral extent.
- Archive audits
- Profile large historical collections with consistent, repeatable criteria.

What Revelis needs
- Operating system
- Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit
- Runtime
- Included with the installer; Revelis downloads a verified LGPL build of FFmpeg on first use
- Internet
- Only to download FFmpeg once, sign in, check a license and download updates. Analysis runs on your computer.
Installs for your Windows user account, so no administrator rights are needed. Updates are taken only from the application's official releases and checked against the SHA-256 digest recorded for them.
Analysis depends on FFmpeg recognizing a file's codec.
Do spectral findings prove where a file came from?
No. Technical measurements describe the decoded signal. Spectral and bit-pattern observations do not prove the original source, lossless ancestry or perceived quality. They tell you where to look.
Does Revelis certify a master for a platform?
No. Delivery Check reports measurements against the published targets of each profile, and a delivery certificate records that measurement; it is not a digital signature or a platform's approval. Targets measured on dialogue use Revelis's dialogue estimate and are never a plain pass.
What does Premium add?
Every measurement, finding and verdict is free and identical in both editions. Premium adds what turns a measurement into delivered work: report files, service and your own delivery targets, folder checks, delivery certificates, watch folders, archive integrity manifests, codec preview, the VST 3 companion, ADM rendering and the command line.
Is Premium a subscription?
No. Premium is bought once and licensed perpetually. Updates within the current major version are included.
On how many computers can I use my license?
A Premium license is for one person and works on up to three computers at the same time. Premium keeps working offline for 30 days at a time. The computers are listed in Studio Hub, where you can release one to use the license on another.
Can I try Premium first?
Yes. Signed in, you can use Premium for 14 days on one computer, without payment details. A trial can be started once per product, account and computer.
